Matthew P. Brown, CFP®
Vice-President, Financial Planning
Matt joined Mascagni Wealth Management as a financial planning advisor in 1996. He earned his B.S. with Honors in Business Administration from Mississippi College, where he was awarded The Wall Street Journal Award from the MC School of Business and The Norman E. O’Neal Religious Education Award for his minor studies. Matt became FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licensed in 1997 and in 1999, completed correspondence studies through the College of Financial Planning based out of Denver, Colorado. In 2000, Matt earned the designation of Certified Financial Planner from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.
Serving as a direct support to Randy Mascagni, Matt provides a continual communication link for helping provide timely advice to clients. He also oversees and administers the firm's computer systems and client database to secure and maintain accurate data. Matt is often the source behind writing comprehensive client financial plans—including generating analysis, comparing different retirement scenarios, determining estate planning needs, and reviewing investments. He is also a primary contact for business retirement plans, such as SIMPLE-IRAs and 401(k) plans.
Matt enjoys the continual challenge of preparing comprehensive and personal financial plans, which are uniquely tailored to each client’s particular situation, and he enjoys the teamwork necessary to build a financial plan:
"Each and every client has their own set of needs and goals, and we get to work as a team—many times with other professionals—to help clients plan the best way to reach those goals. This level of teamwork allows us to help others, and seeing someone begin to reach the goals they initially set is very rewarding."
